Refund Policy

1. General Refund Policy

All refund requests must be made in writing to refunds@journeazy.com. Refunds will be processed according to the following schedule:

30-44 days before departure 75% of total amount 7-10 business days
15-29 days before departure 50% of total amount 10-14 business days
8-14 days before departure 20% of total amount 14-21 business days
0-7 days before departure No refund -

Note: Special tours, peak season bookings, and customized packages may have different cancellation policies as specified in your booking confirmation.

Note: There shall be no refund if the tour is cancelled after the commencement of the tour.

2. Non-Refundable Items

The following are typically non-refundable once booked:

  • Airline tickets (subject to airline policies)
  • Train tickets (as per Indian Railways policy)
  • Visa fees and processing charges
  • Travel insurance premiums
  • Hotel bookings during peak seasons
  • Any third-party service with non-refundable terms

3. Refund Processing

3.1 Method: Refunds will be issued via the original payment method. For cash payments, bank transfer details must be provided.

3.2 Timeline: Refunds typically process within 7-21 business days from cancellation approval, depending on the payment method and bank processing times.

3.3 Charges: A 2.5% processing fee (minimum ₹500) will be deducted from all refunds to cover banking and administrative costs.

4. Force Majeure

For cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances (natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, etc.):

  • We will first attempt to reschedule your tour
  • If rescheduling isn't possible, we'll issue credit vouchers valid for 18 months
  • Cash refunds may be offered minus non-recoverable costs

5. Early Tour Termination

If you voluntarily leave a tour after commencement:

  • No refund for unused services
  • All additional costs for alternate arrangements are your responsibility

6. Quality Issues

If services provided differ significantly from what was promised:

  • Immediate notification to our tour manager is required in written
  • We'll attempt to rectify the issue promptly
  • Partial refunds may be considered for unresolved major issues

7. Special Cases

7.1 Medical Cancellations: With valid medical documentation, we may offer:

  • Full credit voucher for future travel
  • Partial refund after deducting non-recoverable costs

7.2 Visa Denials: If visa is denied after submitting complete documents:

  • Full refund minus visa fees and processing charges
  • Must provide official denial letter with supporting proof

8. Disputes

In the event of a dispute, if any, it shall be subjected to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Rishikesh or District Session Court, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
